Prof. Tatsuo Masuda is a Strategic Committee member of Elion House. He is Permanent Monitoring Panel Member, World Federation of Scientists, which has grown to more than 10,000 scientists drawn from 110 countries to promote international collaboration in science and technology between scientists and researchers worldwide. He is also Expert Network Member, World Economic Forum (WEF); Advisory Panel Member, The Windsor Energy Group (London); Chairman, Fair Court Capital (London); Auditor, SOC Corporation (Tokyo) which is a world-leading manufacturer of micro fuse; Professor, Kaishi University of Japan.

Mr. Masuda contributed to WEF’s Global Agenda Council on the Decarbonising Energy and Shaping the Future of Energy initiatives which aims to accelerate technological innovation in sustainable energy to decarbonise the energy mix and catalyze their implementation which is critical to tackling the world’s environmental challenges at the speed required to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 

Mr. Masuda has extensive experience in the energy industry and served as Director, The International Energy Agency (Paris); Vice President, Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC); Advisor, Japan Petroleum Exploration Corporation (JAPEX). Mr. Masuda started his career as a Diplomat of the Foreign Office of Japan and assumed several posts related to energy policymaking at the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI) in Tokyo.

Mr. Masuda is active in education and has taught at the Tokyo Institute of Technology on technology innovation; Paris University-Dauphine on energy and climate geopolitics; Nagoya University of Commerce and Business Graduate School on energy and climate nexus.
